MRC (MDC) worked with the City of Milwaukee, Trammell Crow Company and the Milwaukee Repertory Theater to create the Milwaukee Theatre District. Work included the city vacating alleys to form a central Galleria connecting the iconic Pabst Theatre; the Rep theatre which redeveloped an abandoned power plant; a new 200 room hotel; and a 300k sf office tower. New underground parking provided for the project and city hall. Development costs totaled more than $100 million and was completed in 1987.
